This patent-pending air spring technology we invented grants every trail rider three wishes: the maximum grip and traction of a coil spring feel, better bottom-out prevention than a standard air spring, and the ability to tune mid-stroke and end-stroke support independently.
ILLUMINATING GENIE: GENIE combines the control-enhancing linear spring rate of a coil spring through the “bump zone” with the progressive spring rate of an air spring at the end of the stroke to avoid bottom-outs. The bike features an advanced frameset with a SWAT internal downtube storage system for added convenience. The frame is constructed from an M5 Alloy chassis and rear-end, incorporating trail geometry, SWAT™ Door integration, a head tube angle adjustment, threaded bottom bracket, internal cable routing, 12x148mm dropouts, sealed cartridge bearing pivots, and is SRAM UDH compatible, providing 145mm of travel. It includes an alloy seat binder with a 38.6mm diameter.
For suspension, the bike is equipped with a FOX FLOAT 36 Rhythm fork featuring a GRIP damper, two-position Sweep adjustment, a 15x110mm QR axle, and a 44mm offset. Travel ranges from 140mm for size S1 to 150mm for sizes S2-S6. The rear shock is a FOX FLOAT Performance with Specialized GENIE Shock Tech, offering Ride Dynamics Trail Tune, a two-position lever with LSR adjustment, and sizes ranging from 210x52.5mm for S1 to 210x55mm for S2-S6.
The braking system comprises TRP Trail EVO hydraulic disc brakes with a 4-piston caliper. The front brake includes a 203mm rotor, while the rear brake rotor size varies: 180mm for S1-S2 and 203mm for S3-S6. The drivetrain utilizes Shimano SLX M7100 components, including a 12-speed chain, threaded bottom bracket, 32T crankset with varying arm lengths (165mm for S1-S3 and 170mm for S4-S6), a rear derailleur, a 10-51t cassette, and matching shift levers.
The wheels and tires feature alloy hubs with sealed cartridge bearings, DT Swiss Industry spokes, and hookless alloy rims with a 30mm inner width. The front wheel is 29 inches, while the rear wheel varies—27.5 inches for S1-S2 and 29 inches for S3-S6. The bike comes with Butcher GRID TRAIL casing front tires (29x2.3") and Eliminator GRID TRAIL casing rear tires (27.5x2.3" for S1-S2, 29x2.3" for S3-S6). Inner tubes with Presta valves are standard.
For the cockpit, the bike includes an alloy trail stem with a 35mm bar bore, Specialized handlebars with varying widths and rises depending on size, and Specialized Trail Grips. The saddle is a Bridge Comp with hollow Cr-mo rails, available in different widths (155mm for S1-S2 and 143mm for S3-S6). The X-Fusion Manic seatpost offers infinite adjustability, with travel ranging from 125mm for S1 to 190mm for S4-S6. Overall, this bike is tailored for performance, comfort, and adaptability across different sizes and terrains.
